Save Reef from Climate Change
Serious steps should be taken to save reef from climate change. The Queensland Government should do something to shift to a low carbon future and to reduce pollution. It is known that unless we can keep warming below 1.5 degrees Celsius, the Reef can’t survive. 2016 has been the hottest on record, and the Reef experienced extreme sea temperatures that caused the worst coral bleaching event in history. Only 7% of the reef has been untouched. Unless urgent action is taken to reduce carbon emissions the iconic Great Barrier Reef will not survive.
That is why is extremely important to act to protect it.
