BBC informs about a new biodegradable glitter. Traditionally glitter is made from plastic, and it ends up in environment and water system. It is just something that gets everywhere. However, people do not even realize that glitter is micro plastic, and it harms the environment.
Now there is an alternative. Kath Senior, director at Ecostardust, found a company making biodegradable glitter.
The new glitter is made from eucalyptus plants. It does not contain any aluminum and biodegrades in 4 weeks in the natural environment.
People love it saying they can look beautiful without having the guilt that all the things you put on your face are detrimental to the environment.
