A Juniper Forest Burned Down

Climate Uturn informs that on August 11 a juniper forest burnt in Arevik national park. This is dangerous as juniper is very flammable, and the fire zone is unsafe and inaccessible. It will take 100 years for the trees to grow again in the territory.

Climate Uturn also mentions that the air near the juniper forest is clearer. 1 ha of juniper forest evaporates approximately 30 kg of phytonutrients in 24 hours, which is enough to purify the air of a big city from harmful organisms. That is why juniper is so important for clean air.

According to the preliminary official data, the fire started from the roadsides.
