Producing Construction Materials from Plastic Waste in Kapan

CENN informs that on 11 May, a new facility for the production of construction materials from
plastic waste was opened in Kapan, Armenia. The facility was opened with the EU-funded
“Introducing Construction Materials from Plastic Waste” project’s support. The project’s budget
is €749,963, of which €509,978 has been provided by the EU.

For supplying enough plastic waste, the project has created a separate infrastructure for
separating and collecting waste from Yeghegnadzor to Meghri, involving nine communities in the
Vayots Dzor and Syunik provinces

The first part of kerbstones and street tiles will be used to improve public spaces in those
communities.
