Levon Galstyan posting pictures of blooming Lake Sevan in his Facebook page mentions that to understand the true reason for the situation, scientists need accurate data on all the parameters of Lake Sevan\’s water quality, biodiversity and lake pollution sources for at least the last 20 years.
According to L. Galstyan, in case of the absence of such data, all the bodies responsible for doing so, must bear responsibility. And if the data are available but hidden from the public eye, the concealers should be held accountable.
He thinks that those who have not properly cleaned the coastal areas, those who have artificially stopped the process of increasing the level of the lake from 2012, as well as those who have delayed the reconstruction of the Arpa-Sevan tunnel should be held accountable for what they have done.
Mr Galstyan offers to clean coastal areas and underwater forest lanes immediately and raise the water level. The next important steps are cleaning stations, artificial fishponds, restoration of fish stocks, etc.
