Hetq reports that yesterday at the government session the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure was recognized as an authorized body in the areas of waste management and sanitation in the Armenian settlements.
According to the Ministry, becoming an authorized body will enable them to apply effective, coordinated and united policy of waste management and sanitation. The ministry plans to regulate normative-legal sphere, to develop waste management models and “smart” schemes of waste management and sanitation, landfill use, design and construction of new landfills, closing norms and standards of acting landfills, methodologies for calculating tariffs for waste management and sanitation services.
