FPWC’s official webpage informs that Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets works on Great bear rescue in Armenia. So far they have rescued 30 bears with the support of International Animal Rescue, Brigitte Bardot foundation, Bears in mind․
They rescued a bear cub found in Dilijan National Park.
With the efforts of the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) and the support of our partner organizations, a motherless bear cub, which recently appeared at one of the hotels in Dilijan, was relocated to the Wildlife Rescue Center (WRC). Under the supervision of the Environmental and Subsoil Inspection Authority, the animal was transported to a shelter providing better conditions, where it’ll be under specialists’ supervision, undergoing rehabilitation. Thus, there will be a possibility of re-wilding it, in the future.
